The Scaradra Valley and the Historic Pass
A horse ride close to the Ticinese Three thousands, in a wild valley with an extraordinary background of beautiful mountains.
The Soreda Pass is rich in history: it was used by mountain dwellers of the Blenio Valley because, due to the raise of inhabitants, new pastures were needed. The mountain dwellers, to reach the Grigioni Canton, climbed up the impervious and steep slope up to the Soreda Pass and faced a long descent down to the homonymous alp, today known as “Lampertschalp”. The Excursion starts from Lareccio, where a 500 years old Larch stands strong, then climbs up to the orographic right of the Scaradra creek.
