Lakes Orsino, Orsirora and Valletta Route
The region of the Saint Gotthard Pass is particularly rich in natural and artificial bodies of water.
Starting from Lake Lucendro, this splendid circular excursion features bizarre water shapes embedded in the heart of the Alps and formed through glacial erosion. Note the iridescent colors of the various small lakes: the intense blue of Orsino and the emerald green of Orsirora. All are stunning, whether seen from the lakeshores or admired from the trail above. Alpine flora and fauna frame everything and it is easy to encounter some shy marmots.
